Who Seacret Tours are and what they run
Seacret Tours is a small operator with a shop at Marina de Albufeira (Passeio dos Oceanos, Lote 4, Loja 4) and the tagline “The Ocean and You”. The spelling with “Sea” is the brand, not a typo, and it matters when you search: platforms also return “secret cave” listings from other companies. When we checked the operator's website in August 2026 it listed three things: a dolphins-and-caves boat trip of about 2.5 hours, guided kayak trips to the Benagil cave in single or double kayaks, and birdwatching outings along the cliffs. The boats are semi-rigid RIBs with 12 seats in rows of two, which is about half the size of the big painted speedboats in the same basin.
The operator says its crews include marine biologists who explain the sea life and the rock formations during the trip, and it is clear on its own site that dolphins are wild and sightings are not guaranteed. Boat trips are not open to children under five or to pregnant women, according to the website; the kayak trips have their own rules on the listing.
Tours and formats
Dolphins and caves by RIB. The route covers about 18 km of coastline west of Albufeira, with the skipper searching for dolphins on the way out and running the cliff line, arches and caves on the way back, or the other way round depending on where the pods were last seen. Sea state permitting, the boat enters the Benagil cave through the west entrance for about two minutes, the limit set by the Capitania notice, with no landing on the inner beach. Kayak trips. Guided kayaks paddle from a beach near the cave rather than from the marina, and under the same notice they use the east entrance for about eight minutes. That is the longest anyone gets inside Benagil, which is why the kayak trip suits people who want the cave more than the dolphins. In-water options. Seacret is filed under coasteering and snorkelling in several directories, and the earlier version of this page described it that way. Book Seacret if you want a small boat. Twelve seats means everyone sits within two rows of the skipper, questions get answered, and the boat can slow for a pod without forty people shifting to one side. Book it if a guide who talks about the biology matters to you, and book the kayak trip if the eight minutes inside the cave matter more than the dolphins.
Pick another format if you need shade, a toilet or a calm ride: a RIB has none of those, and the open-water search has more swell than the cliff run. A catamaran is the right choice for grandparents, small children and anyone prone to seasickness. Pick a named speedboat if you want the largest boat and the most departures per day. And pick a morning slot whatever you choose; afternoon wind makes a small RIB noticeably rougher.
