Changes and refunds: the platform or operator you paid

Email is the only way to reach us. The button at the top of this page opens a message to hello@albufeira.boats, and that is the whole of it. We do not publish a phone number, a WhatsApp or a street address, and nobody at Marina de Albufeira works for this site. We read the inbox on working days and usually reply within two working days. In July and August it can take a little longer.

What to include in your email

To get a useful answer, tell us:

  • The URL of the page you were reading.
  • Your travel dates, or the month if they are not fixed yet.
  • Party size, including the ages of any children.
  • What you want to do: see the Benagil cave, look for dolphins, a sunset sail, a kayak trip, a private charter.
  • If you have already booked, the platform and the listing title. Never send card details or passport scans.

With those five things we can point you to the right format page or to the how to choose guide, and say which listing matched what you describe when we last checked. Write in English or Portuguese; we answer in the language you use.

What we cannot do

We are a guide, not a ticket office or a booking agent. We do not sell tickets, we do not hold seats, and we cannot change, cancel or refund a booking. If you booked through GetYourGuide, start at the GetYourGuide help centre; if you booked through Viator, start at Viator help. Both are linked under sources, and that is where a date change or a refund request has to start. If you booked directly with an operator, the contact on your confirmation is the right one. Our booking guide explains how the cancellation rules differ from platform to platform.

We are not at the marina either. If your boat leaves tomorrow and you have a question about check-in, read the marina guide and your voucher rather than waiting for us; the operator's phone number is on the voucher and they can answer faster than we can. We also cannot tell you whether the sea will be calm on the day. The skipper decides whether a trip runs, and the operator contacts you if it does not.

What we like to hear

The most useful emails are corrections. A price that has changed since the date shown on the page, a boat that was different from the one in the listing, a departure point that moved, a tour that no longer runs, a broken link. We compare the live listings regularly, but readers on the water see things first. If you send a correction, include the page URL and, if you can, a screenshot or the date of your trip. We check, update the page and its date, and never publish your name.

An account of your trip is also welcome, good or bad. We do not publish reader reviews, but what you tell us shapes the reviews guide and the notes on the operator pages.

Press, operators and platforms

If you run boat trips from Albufeira and something on your operator page is wrong — a boat name, a format you no longer run, a check-in point that changed — write to the same address with the correction and a link to where it is confirmed on your own site. We fix factual errors quickly. We do not accept payment for placement, we do not write sponsored pages, and we do not remove honest criticism because an operator asks. The about page explains how the site is funded and how we research each page.

Journalists are welcome to quote the site with a link and to ask for the sources behind any figure.

Email only: no phone, no office, no desk at the marina. Bookings, changes and refunds go through the platform or operator you paid.

The fastest way to reach the team is email. Include the page URL, your travel dates and party size.

FAQ: Contact albufeira.boats

How do I contact albufeira.boats?

By email only, using the button at the top of this page. We do not have a phone number, a WhatsApp or an office, and we are not at the marina. Include the page you were reading, your travel dates, the size of your group and what you want to do, and we usually reply within two working days. Write in English or Portuguese.

Can you change or cancel my boat trip booking?

No. We are a guide and never see your booking or your payment. If you booked through GetYourGuide, use its help centre; if you booked through Viator, use Viator help; both are linked under sources. If you booked directly with an operator, use the contact on your confirmation. The cancellation window that applies is printed on the listing and on your voucher, and our booking guide explains how the platforms differ.

Do you sell tickets or book boats for people?

No. We compare the tours on offer and link to the live listings, and the purchase happens on GetYourGuide or with the operator. We cannot hold a seat, quote a group price or arrange a private charter for you. For the difference between booking on a platform and booking direct, read our GetYourGuide page and the private tours guide.

Do you have an office at Marina de Albufeira?

No. The marina is where most tours check in, but nobody there works for this site, and the operators cannot pass on a message to us. If your boat leaves soon and you have a question about the meeting point, read the marina guide and your voucher; the operator's phone number on the voucher is the fastest route on the day.

I found a mistake on a page. What should I send?

The URL of the page, what is wrong and, if you can, where you saw the correct information: a screenshot of the listing, the price you paid or the date of your trip. Corrections about a price that changed, a boat that was different from the listing or a departure point that moved are the most useful emails we get. We check, update the page and change the date shown on it.

I run a boat company in Albufeira. Can I pay to be featured?

No. We do not sell placement, sponsored pages or better positions in a comparison, and operators cannot ask us to remove honest criticism. What you can do is send factual corrections for your operator page, with a link to where the fact is confirmed on your own website, and we fix errors quickly. How the site is funded is explained on the about page.
