CheckYeti in Albufeira: water-sports marketplace with named speedboats

CheckYeti is a booking marketplace for outdoor activities: ski schools and equipment rental in winter, and surf lessons, rafting, jet ski, kayak and boat trips in summer. The company describes itself as made in Austria, Switzerland and France, lists around 16,000 activities in 35 countries, and runs its site in German, French, Italian, Spanish, Dutch and English. Most of its customers come from German-speaking countries, and that shapes what you see: activity first, sport first, with product descriptions written the way a ski school or a surf camp would write them.

In Albufeira the list is short. When we counted, it held fewer than twenty offers, from cheap water toys and jet-ski slots up to speedboat cave tours. Three names stood out: X-Ride, the orange speedboat; Dream Wave, whose yellow Dreamer is the best-known boat in the harbour; and Momentos Dinâmicos for water sports. If you want the speedboat cave and dolphin run on a boat you can name, CheckYeti is a quick way to see two of them together. Watch the duration on each card: a water toy for a few euros is a few minutes in the bay, while a speedboat cave tour is 2–2.5 hours. Both can appear on the same page at very different prices, and the cheap one is not a discount on the other.

Cancellation, refunds and support on CheckYeti

CheckYeti advertises free cancellation on many activities, but the deadline is set per listing by the provider. In our reading, boat and jet-ski offers commonly allow free cancellation until a day or two before the start; some peak-season products are stricter. The cancellation line on the card, not the homepage promise, is the rule, so read it before you pay. Weather follows the usual pattern for Albufeira: the skipper or the beach base decides on the day, and if the operator cancels you should be offered a new slot or a refund through the platform. If you miss the check-in time, the seat is normally lost.

Support works by email and contact form in the site's languages, German included. We have not seen a 24-hour phone line advertised for bookings in Portugal. For a same-morning problem, such as a wrong meeting point or a boat that has not appeared, call the operator on the number printed on your voucher first, then write to the platform. Keep a screenshot of the listing as you booked it, including the price, duration and cancellation line; it is what a refund claim rests on.
