Who Albufeira Surf Adventure are: a surf school, not a boat
Albufeira Surf Adventure is a small surf school based on Praia da Falésia, the long cliff-backed beach east of Albufeira, at the Rocha Baixinha end. On its own website (albufeiraadventure.pt) and on Tripadvisor it trades as Albufeira Adventure; the two names belong to the same business, with the same contact details. The site lists four things when we checked in August 2026: surf lessons, surf day trips, snorkelling at Praia dos Arrifes, and equipment hire. That is the whole range. There is no jet ski, no parasailing and no boat to Benagil, and an earlier version of this page that filed the school under “water activities” was not clear enough about that.
So this is a page about a surf lesson, and it sits on a boat-trip site for one reason: cave and dolphin searches keep showing surf schools, because the map is one town. Reviews mention a couple taught on their own, a family of three boys, five friends who booked a private session, and one large group of about 15 where the children still got close attention. If the number matters to you, ask when booking rather than assuming. Who this school suits, and who should book something else
Book Albufeira Surf Adventure if someone in the group wants to stand on a board for the first time, if you have children from about eight upwards who are confident in the sea, or if you are staying in Olhos de Água, Açoteias or the Falésia resorts and want an activity that does not start at the marina. The soft summer waves and the pick-up service are the two practical advantages.

Before you pay, check five things: the level named on the listing (the school is built for beginners and intermediates), the minimum age, the group size you are likely to get, whether pick-up is included or on request, and what happens on a flat day or in a big swell. We did not see a written cancellation policy on the school's site when we checked, so the cancellation line on the calendar you pay on is the rule. Wetsuit and board are included; bring a towel, sunscreen and water.
Albufeira Surf Adventure compared with the alternatives
There is no like-for-like surf school on this site to compare it with; the nearest neighbours are different sports. For snorkelling without the surf, Sea Land Algarve and the other coasteering operators run longer guided sessions along the cliffs. For a lesson-style morning on the water without waves, the guided kayak tours from the marina are the comparison, from about €32 when we checked. And for the beach desks that sell minutes on a jet ski, Ski Molhado on Praia da Oura is the one you can walk to from The Strip. Buy the sport the group named, not the word “adventure” in the title.
