Wish and Fish is a fishing-trip operator working out of Marina de Albufeira. Where the speedboat and catamaran brands that fill the marina calendar sell cave runs and dolphin searches, Wish and Fish sell hours on the water with rods, bait and a skipper: shared half-day trips where you fish beside other anglers on the skipper’s plan, and private charters where your group has the boat to itself. We have not found a large official website for the name. What we could not confirm from a single listing, and what you should read on the one you pay for: whether rods and bait are included (usually yes), whether the boat’s licence covers everyone fishing (usually yes, but ask if it is not written), what happens to the catch, whether water is provided and whether there is a toilet on board. Small fishing boats often have none, or a basic marine toilet in the cabin. We do not print a species list or a price per kilo; nobody honest can promise either.

A private charter suits families with young children and mixed-ability groups, because the skipper paces the trip to the slowest angler and you can head back early if the youngest has had enough.
Pick another format if anyone wants the Benagil cave or a dolphin search: a fishing boat heads for the reefs and stays there, and the 2.5-hour caves and dolphins tour does both for about €34 on another morning. Pick another format if seasickness is a known problem. A boat that sits and rolls at anchor is harder on the stomach than a speedboat passing through, so book the morning slot and take a tablet an hour before departure. And a child who wanted a pirate ship will be bored on a drift; read the duration before you book.

Club Sport Fishing and Boating Albufeira is the other fishing name in the marina. Their listings lean towards sport fishing, with heavier tackle and longer days, and also include boat charters; Wish and Fish listings read more like the shared reef trip and the family-sized private charter. Compare the two on hours, shared versus private, the sport-versus-family wording and the catch policy, then pay on the calendar with the better morning. Neither is a cave operator: the speedboats and catamarans on the operator hub run Benagil and dolphin routes, and a fishing skipper who mentions the cliffs is describing the view on the way home, not selling a cave visit.
